Striker has been omitted from squad to play friendly matches in the upcoming tour in Cyprus, according to official sources.

Myanmar national team is scheduled to arrive in Cyprus and play matches against local clubs, in preparation for the upcoming AFF Suzuki Cup.

Myanmar are in Group B of the AFF Suzuki Cup, along with Vietnam, Malaysia and the winners of the qualification stage.

The omission came as a shock as Kyaw Ko Ko has been considered one of Myanmar’s key players recently. The 23 year-old striker is also on a great form on club level, and has scored 13 goals in the domestic league for his club Yangon United.
