Already qualified Nigeria will be out to build on their recent run of form when they play host to Seychelles at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba on Friday afternoon.

Kick-off is at 17h00 CAT.

The Super Eagles have already booked their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations ticket, having recovered from a opening round defeat to South Africa by leapfrogging Bafana Bafana and duly booking their place at this year’s tournament with a 1-1 draw in Johannesburg last year.

Nigeria sit a point above Stuart Baxter’s troops atop Group E, heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures, and will be expected to retain the position with victory over Seychelles.

Bafana Bafana will seal their place at this year’s showpiece in Egypt alongside Nigeria with a draw away to Libya on Sunday.

The Pirates suffered a humiliating 8-1 defeat at home to Libya last time out, having most notable held South Africa to a 0-0 draw at the same venue in Victoria last year.

Odion Ighalo rounded off the scoring for Nigeria in a 3-0 win over the Island nation in the reverse fixture. The former Watford forward is the top scorer in qualifying with six goals.

Nigeria, who are currently on a six game unbeaten run, have won the AFCON tournament on three previous occasions, most recently in 2013 when the tournament was hosted in South Africa.

Already eliminated Seychelles sit bottom of Group E with one point, having shipped 22 goals in five matches.
