Yannick Bolasie remains hopeful of playing for Everton under Carlo Ancelotti next season.

According to Liverpool Echo, the Democratic Republic of Congo winger is an admirer of Ancelotti and wants to star for the Blues after returning to Goodison Park from a loan spell at Sporting Club de Portugal.

The 31-year-old spent the 2019/20 season in the Portuguese capital where he managed two goals and five assists for Sporting in 25 appearances across all competitions.

Bolasie joined Everton from Crystal Palace in a big money move four years ago, but has managed just 32 appearances for the Toffees with a serious leg injury having hampered his progress on Merseyside.

The wing-wizard has spent time on-loan at Aston Villa, Anderlecht and Sporting over the past three seasons, but now hopes to make an impact for Everton in what will be the final season of his contract.

“No reason why I couldn’t….I can play everywhere and willing to do anything for the team,” Bolasie is quoted as saying.

“I believe when I’m on a pitch I’ll always make the difference and help the team in anyway they need.”
