national team manager Kiatisuk said his team must prepare for the final match against Indonesia after a 4-0 victory over in the second leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup semi-finals on Thursday.

The defending champions advanced to the final with a 6-0 aggregate win.

Sarawut Masuk scored the opening goal for Thailand in the 33rd minute before Theerathon Bunmanthan doubled their lead through a penalty in the 65th minute. Siroch Chatthong and Chanathip Songkrasin added goals in the 75th and 83rd minute, respectively, helping the War Elephants to a comfortable victory.

“We have to congratulate our players because they played really well under pressure”, the Thai coach told reporters. “But it’s not over yet, today we won but there are still two more games to go in the final”.

“The final will not be easy for us. Indonesia is a good team, they have scored two goals against us in the group match”, he added.

Meanwhile, Myanmar coach said he is disappointed with the result, but he also feels confident about the White Angels’ future.

“We are disappointed with the result because we don’t expect to lose by such a wide margin. The fans have a lot of expectation for us. We did a lot of chances, but we couldn’t finish and eventually we have to admit 4-0 is much worse than what we expected”, the German coach said.

“We have a lot of young players here, with no less than six players under 20-year-old, I think. The players gain a lot of experience playing in this tournament. We will develop further in the next two years and if we can deal with our mistakes, we will be a better team”, he added.
