Japanese and South Korean sides to participate in U21 international tournament in Vietnam
The 2016 U21 international tournament will kick off in Ho Chi Minh City on 18 December, according to a statement from the organizers.
There will be two Vietnamese youth side competing in the tournament, i.e U21 Vietnam and U21 Hoang Anh Gia Lai. Two other Southeast Asian teams, U21 Thailand and U21 Myanmar, also invited to play, while Japanese side FC Yokohama and Korean club Gangwon will also send their youth team to participate in the tournament.
The teams will be divided into two groups, playing in a round-robin format to determine the top two teams, who will then proceed to play in the semi-final in a knock-out format.
