Selangor winger won’t be able to play in the second leg of their AFF Cup final this weekend due to a serious injury, according to local newspapers.

The 25-year-old attacker suffered an injury in the first leg match on Wednesday evening. An MRI scan revealed that he had a tear in his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).

“The result of the MRI scan has shown that Andik has a tear on his ACL. He now needs to recuperate for three to six weeks. For now his condition is okay, and he will still leave for Bangkok with the team,” team doctor Syarif Alwi said.

“It is only a small tear, and we will have him undergo conservative treatment for three weeks”, he added.

The second leg of the 2016 final will be held at the Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok) on December 17.
