Chinese club offered €18 million per year deal for Miroslav Klose
An unnamed Chinese Super League outfit has made a contract offer with an annual wage worth of €18 million in a bid to lure the former German to China, according to Italian newspapers.
However, the name of the club in question was not revealed.
The 38 year-old player’s contract with Serie A club Lazio has expired at the end of the last season, however his future is still unclear.
Klose joined Lazio in 2011 and had played five seasons for the Italian club, scoring 64 league goals in 170 matches. Previously, he had stints with various German clubs such as Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen and Kaiserslautern.
He also represented Germany on international stage, scoring 71 goals in 137 appearances. He is most well known for his goalscoring record in World Cup tournaments, with 15 goals.
