José Mourinho, Manchester United manager
Trophies are very important for the club, and it is very important to be in a European final. It is important for the club to fight for the only trophy the club has never won before. For this group of players, [it would be] a first European success. It is very important for the club and players. We will fight hard. It has been a long journey – match No14 in the Europa League – and we want to win.

Form certainly favours a United side who, despite the odd scare, have won all six of their UEFA Europa League fixtures at Old Trafford this season. So too history, when you bear in mind they have never lost a two-legged UEFA tie after winning the first leg away from home. Complacency may be the biggest danger to Mourinho’s team, though given the way their manager has prioritised this competition, his players will be left in no doubt about the importance of making it across the line.
