England legend David Beckham has been showing heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua around Inter Miami’s stadium.

The pair posed for a picture on Inter Miami’s pitch on Saturday ahead of the new MLS season.

In an Instagram post, Beckham wrote: “So happy to have the champ in town… WELCOME TO MIAMI @anthonyjoshua @intermiamicf.”

Beckham is no stranger to associating big names with Inter Miami, the MLS club he co-owns.

Earlier this week, the Manchester United legend talked up his side’s chances of signing Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.

Asked what his sales pitch would be to those three megastars, Beckham told ESPN: “To be honest, it’s not a difficult pitch. You just say ‘Miami’ and they’re like, ‘okay!’”

Beckham has been preparing for the new MLS season with Inter Miami kicking off against LA Galaxy on April 18.

He has already brought in experienced English players Kieran Gibbs and Ryan Shawcross, while appointing Phil Neville as head coach.

Meanwhile, Joshua is preparing for the biggest boxing match of his career against Tyson Fury.

Earlier this month, the contracts were signed for the undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO heavyweight world title clash.

A venue and date is yet to be announced, but boxing supremo Eddie Hearn has revealed there is a possibility to hold the historic fight at Wembley Stadium.

He told talkSPORT: “All things being equal, we wouldn’t even be having conversations with anywhere else in the world to be honest with you, we’d just be straight into Wembley.

“Obviously it is the biggest fight of our generation. It’s the moment of both fighters’ careers.

“We do have to look at opportunities and with the crowd restrictions it makes it even more difficult to generate the kind of money in the UK that you need.

“There have been a couple of conversations over the last 48 hours, I spoke to Bob Arum on Monday at length.

“We were talking about Wembley and he asked me about the restrictions and of course I told him about the Euros going into Wembley and talks of full capacity going in there in June/July.

“Could we get full capacity after the Euros, sort of middle/end of July?

“If we could, that does bring London and Wembley into the conversation. I’d love to find an excuse to do it in the UK and to find a way.”
