The March nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month Award are as follows:

Daniel Farke (Norwich City)

A sixth successive monthly nomination for Farke perfectly illustrates the consistent brilliance of his table-topping team as they moved 14 points clear of third-placed Swansea with 13 points amassed from five unbeaten games.

Valerien Ismael (Barnsley)

The expansive football Ismael preaches reaped 13 points from six games and a spot in the play-off places. Especially vibrant away from Oakwell, visits to QPR, Bournemouth and Wycombe each brought three goals and three points.

Xisco Munoz (Watford)

March was moving month for Munoz’s men. They began it embroiled in a three-way fight for the second automatic promotion spot and ended it in style, six points clear of Swansea and Brentford after a perfect five wins and a 12-2 goal differential.

Paul Warne (Rotherham United)

With positive Covid tests forcing the closure of the training ground and postponement of fixtures, Rotherham could have felt sorry for themselves. Instead, Warne masterminded two away wins from their three games to keep his side in touch with their relegation rivals.

The March nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month Award are as follows:

Arnaut Danjuma (AFC Bournemouth)

After a difficult first season in Dorset, the Lagos-born Dutchman is finding his feet on the left side of a dangerous Bournemouth attack. The fluidity of his movement allied to sweet timing of the ball underpinned three goals and three assists in just four March games.

Kenny McLean (Norwich City)

Norwich’s success has been built on clean sheets – three in March – while not sacrificing their attacking flow. McLean has been pivotal, shielding his back four, winning battles all over the pitch and bursting forward to score against Blackburn.

Alex Mowatt (Barnsley)

The captain’s left foot has been a wand of for Barnsley during their superb springtime run. An unstoppable free-kick at QPR was the highlight, but five other goals came from his deliveries into the box at dead balls and in open play.

Francisco Sierralta (Watford)

The Chilean was the uncompromising rock at the heart of a Watford defence that conceded just two goals in five March games. Outstanding in the air against Cardiff and Birmingham, he also headed the opening goal in the 4-1 win at Rotherham.

Winners will be announced on Friday.
