The 2023/24 fixtures for the Sky Bet EFL have been confirmed, with four games selected for Sky Sports coverage from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 August to kick-off the new season.

As part of the live action, newcomers to the Championship collide as Sheffield Wednesday and Southampton meet at Hillsborough in the Friday night football offering to open the new EFL campaign. 

Three fixtures will be featured live on Sky Sports on Sunday 6 August, starting with Leicester City against last season’s Championship Play-Off finalists Coventry City at the King Power Stadium, before Leeds United host Cardiff City at Elland Road. 

Rounding off the action on the Sunday, Ipswich Town mark their return to the Championship with a trip to Tony Mowbray’s Sunderland in a 5pm kick-off.

Throughout the course of the 2023/24 season, Sky Sports will exclusively show 145 live matches from the Sky Bet EFL season, as well as an additional eight co-exclusive* fixtures. There will also be 15 matches from the Carabao Cup, at least three from the EFL Trophy and the Play-Offs in their entirety. 

*The eight co-exclusive Sky Bet Championship games will take place on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings and will be broadcast simultaneously with other Sky Bet Championship games.  These eight games will also be available to stream on Clubs’ DTC offerings.
